About This Project

Rings are in our todays society the most bought and worn jewellery.

Historically rings are symbolic for showing wealth, if people are married, we become a ring for achievements, they are showing a high social status or authority , even we could get a ring as members of groups or societies. Rings can be made with gemstone which sparkle with the movement of the wearer, we can make them with insignia of a wellknown family or with the design of a symbol to show the romantic connection of the married couple. Even the wearing of a ring on the right hand or left hand may have a meaning.

For me myself, I like the most designing and wearing rings. Generally they have to be sculptural and supple to the hand for the wearer. In the 40+ years designning custom jewellery many times I got the response from customers “the material and the form of the ring are feeling nicely soft at my skin” .

With a ring I can show my technical and design skill level because I am bound to a size of a ring. The ring has to fit a finger properly but it has also to have an ideal size of proportion to a hand. Even maing a simple ring means that the material thickness has to have the proper proportion the hand of the wearer.
